The City of Howell was successful in receiving a grant for 1.8 million dollars in Transportation Improvement Funds (TIF) through the Huron Valley Federal Aid Committee (HVFAC) for the reconstruction of East Clinton Street and a portion of North National Street. This project also includes the replacement of the 12" feeder line for the Water Tower from the entrance to the park, Barnard Street and Madison Street to Bates Street. The water portion of this project is being funded with a low interest loan received from the State of Michigan Drinking Water Revolving Fund (DWRF). The total construction cost of this project is 4.2 million not including engineering.
