The City of Howell has a contract with Advanced Disposal Solutions (ADS) for the weekly rubbish pick up. In adjusting to the daily challenges that COVID-19 is creating for all, ADS has implemented policies and procedures to ensure that their employees are as safe as possible while performing essential services, and to keep customers and the public safe as well. In order to minimize the risk of ADS personnel coming into contact with potentially infectious materials, the City of Howell is asking for residents’ cooperation with the following:

Effective March 23, 2020, Advanced Disposal will not collect any trash/refuse or recycling that is not containerized.

  • All trash/refuse and recycling must be placed in the carts. Loose items outside the cart will not be collected.
  • All bulky item pickup/collection is suspended until further notice.
