The DDA is governed by a board of directors consisting of 7-9 members who represent businesses, property owners, and residents of the community. The Board is appointed by the Mayor for staggered four year terms.
The Board employs a Director, who serves as the administrative officer of the authority. The Director serves at the discretion of the Howell DDA Board. Board Meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:30 P.M. in the City Council Chambers located at 611 East Grand River Ave, Howell, MI. Meetings are open to the public and participation and input from such is strongly encouraged.
