School Crossing Guards
The City of Howell is accepting applications for the positions of regular and substitute School Crossing Guards; positions are seasonal/part time working one hour per day while Howell Public Schools is in session.  The position pays $20/hour or day, split in two shifts during the school year (½ hour morning shift & ½ hour afternoon shift).  The substitute position will be on call to fill in for regular crossing guards as needed.  Training and equipment will be provided. 

Applicants must possess the ability to interact with elementary age children and provide a safe street crossing environment; report to their assigned intersection on time each day; work independently outdoors during all weather conditions during the school year; follow safety regulations and procedures.   A complete background check will be performed on all applicants.

DDA Director/Main Street Inc. C.O.O.
The City of Howell is seeking qualified applicants for the position of DDA Director.  This position also serves as the C.O.O. of Main Street Inc.  Salary range is $55,000 to $64,000 DOQ plus generous benefit package.  Under the direction of the Downtown Development Authority Board, this position performs a variety of supervisory, administrative and professional work to support the DDA and downtown district businesses.  The Manager will promote commercial district activities, educate businesses, serve as listener, collaborator, clearinghouse, visionary, facilitator and coordinator based on the four points of the Main Street Program.  A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and 3-5 years work experience in a DDA, Main Street Program, public administration, public relations, urban planning, marketing, historic preservation, economic development, volunteer or non-profit administration, management, or a related field is required.
