DPW Fall Seasonal Laborers
The Department of Public Works is looking for two temporary workers for the fall months.  Temporary work will consist of mowing, street maintenance, leaf pickup, and other general labor tasks.  Starting wage is $12.00 per hour, 40 hours per week for the fall months.

Police Officer
The City of Howell, Michigan is seeking a qualified applicant for a Police Officer position.

2019 Starting Salary:  $45,220 - $46,904/year. 

Current maximum salary after 4 years of service:  $71,358       

Reimbursement of Police Academy tuition:  Successful applicants without active MCOLES licensing may be eligible for this economic incentive reimbursed over a 2 year period after successful completion of the FTO program.

School Crossing Guards
The City of Howell is accepting applications for the positions of regular and substitute School Crossing Guards; positions are seasonal/part time working one hour per day while Howell Public Schools is in session.  The position pays $20/hour or day, split in two shifts during the school year (½ hour morning shift & ½ hour afternoon shift).  The substitute position will be on call to fill in for regular crossing guards as needed.  Training and equipment will be provided. 

Applicants must possess the ability to interact with elementary age children and provide a safe street crossing environment; report to their assigned intersection on time each day; work independently outdoors during all weather conditions during the school year; follow safety regulations and procedures.   A complete background check will be performed on all applicants.
