Salary Range:              $61,920 – $70,526/year DOQ                                     

The City of Howell is seeking qualified applicants for the position of full time MAAO/3 Assessor. The Assessor performs a variety of routine and complex technical field and office work in the appraisal of industrial, commercial, residential and personal property, prepares and maintains the assessment roll, and performs all duties imposed upon municipal assessing officers in accordance with the requirements of the State of Michigan and the Howell City Charter. 

Starting salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.  The City offers a full benefit package including Medical, Dental & Vision coverage, Short/Long Term Disability coverage, $50,000 Life Insurance, and retirement under the MERS Defined Benefit Pension System.  A flexible start date is offered with this position and it will remain open until filled.
